Blogging interview #2 – World Of Lina

by On The Fly Blog

Interview number two! Lina’s blog is packed with colour and vibrant photos of seemingly every country under the sun – where hasn’t she visited?! Among the super useful posts about travel itineraries, best food spots and unbeatable views are peppered some recent festive Christmas market articles, all well worth the read. And her Instagram is definitely not to be missed!

In this interview we discussed blogging, happiness and sustainability, which led to a truly interesting conversation.

Q: What made you start blogging and how has it met and/or differed from your expectations?

A: I would say my love to travel and my passion of taking photos made me start a blog. Also, I’ve always wanted to be my own boss and do something I enjoy to make money.

Q: Do you believe it’s possible to be perfectly happy?

A: Hmm good question. What in life is perfect? I think we humans can never be perfectly happy as we always strive for something better. It’s difficult to appreciate what we already have and not compare our lives to other ones.

Q: Tea or coffee?

A: Tea, I rarely drink coffee.

Q: What’s your best tip for taking care of yourself?

A: Do some Yoga 3-4 times a week and listen to a meditation every day before going to bed.

Q: Have you tried to get your friends or family to live more sustainably and how did it go?

A: Yes I tried and it went very well! I’ve been vegan for almost two years now and I know that I influenced my family as well. My mum mostly cooks and eats vegan and my sister became vegetarian to 90%. Moreover, we cut down on plastic a lot and try to buy regional products instead of exotic ones.

Q: Summer or winter?

A: Summer, I’m so not made for the cold! 😀

Q: What is your favourite place in the world to visit, if you can choose one!

A: That is SO difficult! Our world is full of fascinating places, how can anyone choose only one?! But I think I’d go for New Zealand.

Q: Do you have any hobbies that you’ve done since being a child?

A: Reading. I used to read up to 3 books every week but now I can’t even finish one a month. Inline skating and ice skating.

Q: Sweet or savoury food?

A: Sweet.

Q: If money were no question, would you continue to do your job or give it up?

A: I would definitely continue working on my travel blog and my own business simply because I enjoy it and I’m passionate about it.

I do hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did – I particularly love Alina’s succinct answer about happiness. If you don’t already know her, you can find her and her excellent writing here:

Ooo New Zealand is beyond pretty – I felt like I was in a dream when I was there! I’d choose sweets over savory flavors, too!
